Honfleur duplex

"Great location for walking into Honfleur old town and harbour (5 mins walk). Charming, characterful property with lots of space. The property is on 2nd floor and attic of lovely old Honfleur building. Attic bedroom had even more space than the lower bedroom. Both bathrooms were excellent and very clean. Bijou kitchen but everything was there (the oven is also a microwave)."

"Some paintwork needed freshening up and lounge rug could do with a clean. The spiral staircase up from the street would be tricky for older people. Parking was as expected, got a space on the hill to the side of the house and took careful parking skills but it was safe and still plenty of room for other cars to pass (very quiet street however)."

"Negotiating check-in was difficult. My boat arrived at le harve at 6.30 and despite asking for a late check-in at the time of booking I still had to negotiate this the day before and indeed at one point was told it was not possible. Eventually, it was simple, enough to collect the key, but this could have simply been the process from the start"

"Lovely house, we stayed for one night during our road trip to Normandy. The house was very clean, with comfortable beds, two bathrooms and well equipped. The hostess took time to inform us about everything in the house. The main scenic pier was less than a 10 minute walking distance, where you can find restaurants and bars. I would definitely choose the house again!"

"Towels were in rough shape and scarce in quantity. Garbage cans were way too small and in really rough shape for some strange reason. Cushions in the living room were old and worn. These are easy fixes."

"Very steep spiral staircase, tricky with luggage or those with mobility issues. Parking tricky in the area but free parking 10 mins away. Ideally a bath & hand towel per person."

"Very comfortable property with everything provided and to hand. The en suite bathrooms to each double room were spacious. Water instantly hot. Heating in the property was easily operated and we were always warm and cosy. Loved the sofa and chairs and ambience of the place. No road noise. Kitchen, small but adequate. All appliances in situ for our use. Easy walking distance to the port and restaurants, also the main town. We could park on the side road - just. Very narrow and limited space, but plenty of car parks close-by."
