The sea has moved in so much over the years that there really is no place to sunbathe on the beach by the hotel. You can walk further down the beach - given space limited sun beds on the decking area.

Despite the well balanced breakfast, I ate the same breakfast for the entire period of my stay. This was predictable and monotonous . The breakfast was standard, meaning that I had no choice in terms of portion, variety and pricing. I expected to find cooking pots and utensils in the kitchen to allow me the option of cooking and preparing anything . I wish the hotel provided information on places to be visited within the vicinity and information regarding the most recent COP29

Le prix reste un peu cher pour le Myanmar dans le contexte politique actuel même si il se comprend. Le confort du lit, matelas, était mauvais. Les coupures d'électricité durant tout un après-midi sont aussi à prendre en compte. Enfin les matelas et les serviettes autour de la piscine semblent une option.

The breakfast was incredibly delicious and fresh, providing the perfect start to the day. What truly made the stay, though, was the lovely staff—they are so polite, welcoming, and genuine that you feel right at home. "Loved this hotel! It's about a 25 minute golf cart ride from the centre of the island so it's a little way out but it's quiet and peaceful. Just dusty because the road is unpaved at the moment. The staff were incredible, everyone super friendly, professional and helpful. It was a windy few days for us so we couldn't get to use the beach much but another 20 minutes on is Secret Beach so we would go there instead. The pool here is great, plenty of loungers and space for everyone to relax. The rooms were clean, beds comfy and shower powerful!! Brilliant value for money and we even got a free upgrade. Would definitely stay here again but you definitely need to hire a golf cart to get around the island. Perfect for if you want to get out the real hum of the island but there are still plenty of food places nearby."

"The villa had great privacy, beautiful landscaping, a good layout for our group. It was well-equipped with essentials for cooking/serving. The salt pool was perfect for cooling off after a hike. It was just big enough and always seemed to be at the right temperature. We were delighted by fireflies, tree frogs, bats, local birds, and even a shy ginger cat that wandered past once or twice."

THE ROAD- while we expected a rough access road from reading previous reviews, the construction during our stay detoured us through the banana plantation over an intolerably (for anyone with neck/back problems) rough track that was 4x longer. While the ocean (not a swimming beach) is close enough to hear, there is not much view. It is a peek from one corner of the pool deck, and the upper bedroom. But again, wonderful privacy. Also of note- there are no bug screens on the windows. It was perhaps an assumption on our part with the newer construction, but the mosquitoes did cause some distress, especially for one member of our group. Bring bug spray, After-Bite (anti-itch), and Benadryl if you are prone to reactions.
